- Reading is a very relaxing thing for some. Reading not only helps you to escape into another world and be a different person but it also helps with your intellectual wellbeing.
- Even just reading for 15-20 minutes a day(which is the recommended amount ) could greatly improve your intellectual wellbeing.
- Below I have listed some books that you could read for fun from classics to more modern books.I also have some books to read about wellbeing if you want to read more about the science of wellbeing and some other tips for wellbeing.

- Little Women, Louisa May Alcott: a classic tale of growing up in sisterhood
- Journey to the River Sea, Eva Ibbotson: an enchanting adventure story centered around an orphan girl, pure escapism!
- Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte: classic novel following the story of Jane seemingly plain and simple girl as she battles through life struggles and finds love
- A Kestrel for a knave, Barry Hines: the story of Billy Casper a troubled teen who finds an escape in Kes, a kestrel which transforms his life
- Lord of the flies, William Goulding: the classic tale of a group of schoolboys who find themselves stranded on a desert island
- The Outsiders SE Hinton: a story of growing up gangs and peer pressure a classic of modern teenage fiction
- Coram boy Jamila Gavin: a historical drama about child stealing and mistaken identity in the search for long lost families
- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Mark Haddon: Christopher doesn't think like everybody else when a neighbour's dog is killed, he makes it his mission to find out who did it causing chaos along the way
- The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins: a story of survival and dystopian world

- The Great Gatsby F Scott Fitzgerald; Dory of grandeur love and lavish parties in 1920s America
- Bridge to Terabithia, Catherine Patterson; just creates the world of Tabitha to escape from her annoying reality but then tragedy strikes
- Divergent series, Veronica Roth; young adult science fiction adventure novel set in the post-apocalyptic dystopian Chicago
- The King of the Castle, Susan hill Edmond doesn't want his new stepbrother and terrorist trials but soon tail they turned with devastating
- Secret Garden, Frances Hodgson Burnett: the story of a second word child who discovers a hidden magical garden that changes their life
- A monster calls, Patrick Ness: Conor a 12 year old boy encounters an ancient tree monster he proceeds to help him go with his mother's turn terminal illness and being bullied in school
- Treasure Island, R.L. Stevenson; an adventure story set in an island a classic
- Thief, Mallory Blackman: Lydia is accused of stealing a trophy from school she thinks things can't get any worse but after a freak storm she finds herself lost in the future
- Knots and Crosses, Mallory Blackman: (adult themes) falling teenage protagonists in the world of division and prejudice
- Great Expectations, Charles Dickens: a classic story following the adventures of pip and Victorian England
- The Secret Acts, Alison Wetherby: the story of 2 teenage code Breakers who work at Bentley Park set during World War 2
- His Dark Materials trilogy, Philip Pullman: these stories followed the adventure flyer at a young girl who must show great bravery and travelling to new worlds
- To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee: Scott tells the story of her father a lawyer who tries to save a man from a terrible injustice and segregated USA
- Z for Zachariah, Robert O'Brien: Ann has survived nuclear war but needs to brave the world to find other survivors, compelling tale
